Not an aerobics class, emphasis is on maintaining and improving fitness. Goals include increased strength, endurance, flexibility, and bone density. Attention will be given to posture, balance, and fall prevention. Includes warm-up; standing, floor, and resistance exercises (using elastic tubing provided by the instructor); slow movement and stretching. Students will be offered suggestions on how to modify exercises to address individual physical problems. Adults of all ages are welcome. Exercises are modified for different levels. Drop in option of $8 per class, first class is free. REDWOOD ESTATES PAVILION is located an easy 10 minutes from downtown Los Gatos. Take 17 South, Redwood Estates exit, turn right at the "T" intersection, stay left at the fork, go up the hill towards the store, the pavilion is on the right. The Pavilion is located in the Redwood Estates Services building.
Instructor: Kent Schellenger is a retired SJSU professor, 12 years of experience as a group exercise instructor with a special interest in beginning exercisers and older adults.
