this workshop students will reinvent a classic play or story by
infusing it with all of their favorite characters from fables and
fairytales. Students will explore drawing, acting and writing skills in
order to write, design and act out their creation in a final
performance! Students will learn to develop a plot, build characters,
format a script and create storyboards and more! With help from the
instructors, the students will also construct and style the costumes and
props so that the entire project reflects their collective creative
vision. The final performance will include a short play made up of
scenes written by the students and a gallery showing of the character
and design drawings created in class.
Students are asked to please bring a pen or pencil, a sketchbook, and a lunch and snack.
