Intermediate Documentary Video Editing

Description

There have been many changes on the video-editing scene recently. With the introduction of new software like Final Cut Pro X and Premiere Pro 6, editors now have even more options to choose from in crafting their stories. This course is designed for students who want to advance beyond the basics and become more skilled in telling their stories. Using Premiere Pro 6 as a guide, students will learn how to create a workflow for their projects; apply proper cuts, transitions, and effects; explore sound mixing; and choose delivery options. Through weekly homework assignments and film screenings, students will also have the opportunity to explore different editing styles and techniques as they develop their own. (20 hours)
