Throughout this workshop students will learn about various types of viruses, spyware, adware and scareware. Students will also learn how infections occur, what ploys are used to infect computers and how they can protect themselves. Students will also learn how to determine if they have adequate malware protection and how to determine if it is working. Moreover students will learn about free software to protect themselves and what to do if they suspect they are infected. Preregistration required. No classes will be held on Sept. 17, 26, Nov. 12 or Nov. 19-23.
