Jewelry - Crimping, Stringing, & Knotting (Intermediate Class) - Ages 14 & older
Take your skills to the next level. You will be using semi-precious stones, cultured pearls, and Swarovski crystals to complete stunning multiple strand designs. Students should have completed the "Introduction to Jewelry Making" class or have permission from the teacher to enroll.  All tools provided for class use, but students should have basic tools to use at home. Sewing for Beginners

Learn the basics of sewing! Topics will include the mechanics of a sewing machine, the basics of fabric layout, reading a pattern, the proper technique for hems, elastic, buttons, pockets, and mending. Projects such as baby blankets, apron, throw pillows, and pajamas or other similar items will be made in class. A supply fee of $25 payable to the instructor in the first class meeting will cover all supplies and material for all projects. Feel free to bring in a special fabric for one of the projects. Watercolor - Day Class

This class will guide you through the fresh and translucent medium of watercolor. The instructor will guide students of all levels step-by-step through the techniques and methods needed to create a successful watercolor painting. Learn how to apply washes such as wet-on-dry, wet-on-wet, graded washes, masking and brushwork texture. Beginning Sculpture

Explore your own style and subject while learning the basics of sculpting. For example, past students have learned the basics by creating their own creatures and characters, as well as animals, people, and abstract designs. This course is customized to you, so that we can focus on areas you are interested in. There will be dedicated one-on-one time during each session to ensure you are getting the information and help you need to work on your own special project. 

Required Items: • paddle/plane tool • loop/rake tool • brick(s) of Roma Plastilina Modeling Clay • armature wire • wood base  (12 x 12 recommended)  

Optional or Specialty items: • Detailing tool • Mat to work on • Notebook / Sketchbook for taking notes • Calipers for making volumetric measurements • Canned air for freezing clay • Reference material (photographs, books, personal mirror, etc)
