Piano
Designed for children as young as 5 (as well as adults!), the
piano program at BlackRock teaches students keyboard and performance skills, as
well as general music skills, in a fun, relaxed environment. Classes are limited
to five participants so students receive sufficient attention from the teacher,
while developingtheir teamwork and listening skills. Each level of instruction
should be taken for three semesters, preferably from Sept.–June
We highly recommend that students have access to a piano or keyboard to practice at home between classes. All students must bring their own personal headset and ¼ inch adaptor to their piano classes.
Structured to be taken in sequence over a five-year period, the piano program at BlackRock covers all levels of experience:
