A Two Day class perfect for those new to FlameWorking. Start with basic beadmaking, learn to melt glass rods & manipulate them into interesting shapes and designs. These are weekend classes that pack a lot of information in a short time, so be ready!

Flameworking: Intro 6-Week

In this six week class students learn the basics of Flame Working, allowing them to work independently.  Learn how to make round beads, shapes, stringers and continually moving towards more advanced skills.  The six week class offers more time to perfect specific skills than an Intensive.  No previous experience necessary.  This class uses soft glass only.

Flameworking: Leah Fairbanks
In this 2-day workshop, Leah will increase your skill level and expand your knowledge of floral sculptures. 

Day I: Floral Gardens & Special Techniques
Some of the techniques that will be covered will include floral and cased canes, surface decorations, feathering, several different types of latticino canes and clear casing.  There will be an emphasis placed on design, color blending, and precise application of surface decorations with a focus on florals, perfecting your bead shapes and refining ends.

Day II: Glass flowers, leaves and berries bouquet
This is a perfect opportunity to work with Italian glass presses and other tools to create soft glass flowers, berries and leaves which can be used to make your own glass bouquets, decorative combs, necklace and brooch components.  Soft glass will be used in this class including silvered glasses plus silver, palladium gold, glass frits and powders.

Intermediate/Advanced glass beadmaking.
Flameworking experience required.

Flameworking: Metal Reaction Experience
In this beginning class students will learn how to use a torch to make glass beads and use tools to shape and form the beads. Students will then learn how to apply metal foils like silver and copper to make unique color reactions on their beads.

 This class is great for the beginner student.
