Michigan Builders Prelicensure Prep
On Dec. 20, 2007, the governor signed legislation that establishes prelicensure education and continuing competency requirements for Residential Builders and Maintenance and Alteration (M&A) Contractors. As of June 1, 2008, 60 hours of approved prelicensure training is required for anyone wanting to take the state builder’s exam (for more information please visit www.michigan.gov/builders). MCC is an approved sponsor of this prelicensure training and offers the Michigan Builders Prelicensure Prep courses to prepare you to take the state builder’s exam. Upon completion you receive a certificate that allows you to sit for the Michigan Residential Builder’s Exam. The state course number is 385-AP234 and the state approval ID number is 4406. MCC is also an approved sponsor of the continuing competency requirements for Residential Builders and Maintenance and Alteration (M&A) Contractors. All of the courses are approved for continuing education requirements.
