Designed for the Beginner Archer, this course will prepare you with a general background of this exciting and challenging sport! Upon completing this course, you will be comfortable participating at all archery ranges. Our USA Archery certified instructors will help you to be confident in your bow and equipment on our indoor archery range.

Upon completion, students will receive a certificate from The Heritage Guild.  This certificate will enable you to use The Heritage Guild archery range facilities and is also honored at the Olympic Archery Facility @ Oakridge Archery Range in Clark, NJ for one to obtain a Union County Archery ID Card.

All equipment including bows (family Genesis bows) arrows, targets, gloves, etc. are included in the course; however any student may bring their own equipment if they choose.

Class time: 2 1/2 hrs.

            -Longbow, Recurve and Compound
            -Shooting Form
            -Basic mental preparation and techniques
            -Arrow selection
            -Equipment maintenance and storage
            -Safety accessories
            -Range safety and etiquette
            -Range layout and commands
            -Recreational and competitive shooting styles
