   Instructor:  Max Dingemans is a Master Unicyclist and Lego Builder. He is also an amateur Musician, Mountain bike trailworker, video game player and opinion former. 

Design and build autonomous robotic creations using LEGO Mindstorms NXT. Write computer programs to make the machines navigate on their own, sense their surroundings and perform practical and playful tasks. This class is a fantastic introduction to LEGO robotics. It is also appropriate for students with some experience who want to develop their skills.

Designed for younger kids who want to get started building motorized machines with LEGO. Classes will focus on basic building techniques and simple machines. This class is an opportunity for kids to design and build something that moves on its own. It’s also great preparation for LEGO robotics.

Combine two of the best and fastest ways to create new things with this introduction to LEGO Mindstorms + Arduino.  After a brief introduction, we'll get some code running on the Arduinos and plug in LEGO Mindstorms motors and sensors. Use the Bricktronics Shield that Adam and his business partner invented.

Complete a simple task like flicking a light switch, or stopping an alarm clock, in a convoluted way. You'll work on one section of the causation machine and then integrate your part with the rest to create something so complicated that we'll spend the last two days getting it to work. Finally, you will video the performance and add it to the list of YouTube videos already online.

How will you stay on the table longer than your opponent? Brute force? Deception? In this class you will build robots that are built for battle and then let them face off. Once the dust has settled there will be plenty of time to try new strategies.

Do you eat, sleep, breathe and build LEGO? In this class you will dig deep into our bins of LEGO pieces to construct all kinds of structures. You will make art and machines. Solve problems and create Star Wars environments and earthbound cities. If you want you can add gears, pulleys, wheels and motors to build simple machines.

Camille deMeireles is a contemporary jack of all trades. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a background in genetics and cell biology. She loves to tinker with new ideas and experiment with different contraptions and materials.

Love board games and love building with LEGO? We'll start the week recreating your favorite board game out of our supply of LEGO bricks. You've never played Monopoly or Stratego like this before! (Make sure you arrive with a rough idea of the rules to at least one board game you'd like to attempt in LEGO.) During the week we'll take ideas that work, and the unique features of LEGO, to invent a one-of-a-kind game that no one has ever played before. May the best minifig win.
