In just one week of instructor-led classes, students learn the most important basics of the programs,
Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. Students may take one or all of the courses. These classes are perfect
for students learning the programs for the first time that need to gain some quick skills, or for
those needing to update their skills to a newer version. One class is offered each calendar week
and classes rotate through the year. See the individual course listings below.
Completion of each course qualifies student to work toward an Office Occupations
Program Certificate. Prerequisites: Must type 20 wpm without error and have a basic
understanding of the computer.
Microsoft Word Graphics: Students learn how to use all of the graphic elements of Microsoft Word including
use of clipart, photos, and textboxes in Microsoft Word Documents. By the end of class,
students build flyers, custom newsletters, charts, and smart art graphics
