Focus on painting the figure as a full study in Oil and Acrylic medium, with an approach to painting the full figure and surroundings in Alla Prima style. Finish a color study of the model weekly. We will cover composition, color theory, line, technique, and the mythology (meaning) of arrangements. Enjoy the wonder of painting in pastel. Complete paintings each week exploring multiple subject matter--Yosemite Falls, mountain peaks, cloudscape, old barn, and Alpine Lake. Bring your own pastels or call to order them from the instructor for $40 prior to class at (530) 887-9565. Students may also bring their own paper or they can buy it at a minimal fee each class.
