12-Hour Cold Water Survival & Emergency Drill Conductor Training
UAA has partnered with Alaska Marine Safety Education Association to bring you this US Coast Guard Training approved program.
Take time to learn about critical situations before you have to use emergency measures to save a life. This 12-hour training program prepares you for marine safety survival procedures as well as use and care of emergency equipment on coastal or offshore vessels. Course includes practical information on use of all safety equipment including life rafts, SOLAS kits, immersion suits, PFDs, flares and EPIRBs. Hands-on emergency drills for abandon ship, flooding, fire and man-overboard will be conducted. More hands-on drills for cold water survival skills are practiced at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex pool.
Successful completion of this training provides you a Drill Conductor Card, serving as proof of compliance with USCG training requirements for commercial fishing vessels. Recommended for anyone working at sea, in an industry that puts them on the water, and recreational boaters.
