Act, Sing and Create! The Rockin’ Kidz program provides a positive and encouraging curriculum which gives your child the opportunity to develop his or her dramatic arts skills. Children will explore the world of theater, story- telling through song, acting for the stage, make props, costumes, set design, improvisation, and performance technique! No experience necessary. Each session concludes with a different theatrical performance; in which, we invite parents, siblings, friends to attend the last day of the session. This summer's theme is "Journey to Oz!" with scenes and music from the Wizard of Oz. Each session will work on a different part of the script and musical score. Wear comfortable clothing. Snack will be provided; Weeks II & III full day students please bring a sack lunch. Materials fee of $15, payable to "Rockin Kidz," due at first class.
PLEASE NOTE: First week of camp is held at Rockin’ Kidz Studio 15694 Los Gatos Blvd. Los Gatos, CA 95032. Second two weeks of camp are held at Saratoga Elementary School Cafeteria.
Instructor: Tiffany Petrossi has studied drama and music at the University of Oregon, A.C.T. (American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco) and the GATE theater program in NYC. Overseas; she has had the opportunity to tour an original play in the Czech Republic and help run a children’s summer camp in Iwakuni, Japan. She currently enjoys working as a music/drama teacher in local elementary schools. She has a passion for the Dramatic Arts and is thrilled to be directing the Rockin’ Kidz program.
