Robotics With LEGO® EV3 (9-14 yrs)

Build and program robots using the new LEGO® Mindstorms EV3 system!  Learn about mechanical and software design, loops, conditional statements, problem solving, and teamwork skills.  Work in small groups, program and build your robot, and rise to the challenge.  Control the robot to avoid obstacles, pick up and carry objects, and play sounds.  Projects are structured so that students work in an open-ended, investigative environment while having fun.

Instructor:  Play-Well TEKnologies staff has been Teaching Engineering to Kids for over fourteen years in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Our instructors have varied careers and educational backgrounds (mechanical engineering, architecture, biology, art, geology, alternative energy, civil engineering, etc.).  More important, though, is that all share a common enthusiasm for kids, engineering and LEGO®.  Current instructors have been leading classes and directing summer camps for one to seventeen years.
