Leather is enjoying a resurgence in fashion these days. Yet many people shy away from working with leather, believing it to be difficult—only the initiated can work with it. Not so! Kenneth King will introduce you to the basics of working with leather, starting with a few tools, supplies, and notions needed, and continuing by demonstrating some of the classic seams and darts. When you're done with this lecture/demo class, you'll feel confident to create and sew with leather.
About the instructor:
Kenneth D. King is a couture designer in NYC. He is also a contributing editor of Threads magazine, author of Cool Couture, and a leading sewing instructor.
