Opportunities abound for youth to learn the fundamentals of their favorite sports at DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) sports camps! Campers will learn the rules and regulations of the chosen sport and engage in physical game play. Sports camp will encourage physical fitness while teaching participants the concepts of teamwork and sportsmanship. Camps are open to youth ages 6 to 13 years old.  Tennis Camp participants must be ages 8 - 13 years old.

DPR soccer camps will provide participants the opportunity to learn the basics and fundamentals of soccer. Through drills and clinics, participants will learn how to stop, pass, head, shoot and score-they will also learn the rules of the game in a fun, structured, entertaining and positive environment.  This program will also introduce the academy style of soccer coaching. This introduction will elevate the coaching from basic soccer to a soccer mind set, which include among others player conditioning, fitness, tactics and sportsmanship etc.
