Welcome to the Continuing Education Department
As we approach the first day of spring and the second half of our spring semester, we'd like to remind you of some great professional development opportunities as well as some fun and inspiring lifelong learning workshops.
Because of the popular demand of QuickBooks, we've added a second section of the class. Fundamentals of Accounting is concluding this week, but don't forget the next class of Payroll Accounting Fundamentals to round out your knowledge base.
Move your computer skills from proficient to advanced! The ever-popular Microsoft Office Applications of Word, Excel and Access are offered in various levels.
In April, several gardening classes are available including Beginning Bonsai, Miniature Orchids, Perennials, and Container Gardening. Take home lovely new plants to cultivate at the end of each course. There is also a fun workshop in Beginning Floral Design;keep a weekly arrangement created by YOU!
Culinary offerings for the next several weeks include Thai Cuisine, Sushi, Mother Sauces (new date of 4/23), Hello, Cupcake, Classic Alaskan Seafood and Basic Knife Skills. You keep a chef-quality set of knives from the latter; and all of these will fill your tummy and give you new ideas for meals to impress friends and family.
Finally, don't forget to sign your kids up for our Summer Camps running from mid-June through July. These are computer based technical skills and training and will keep our youth engaged in each class. We provide lunch and beverages for those staying a full day with us. These camps are filling up quickly!
