Painting with Buttercream

Learn how to "paint" a cake with colorful buttercream to create a delicious work of art. Learn tips and techniques from a professional cake artist.

Supply list provided on the invoice.



Additional Information

SUPPLIES
TIPS: 12 round tip, 16 star tip, 352 or 67 for leaves
Bring from home:
• 6 inch (three layers) round cake fully frosted with with buttercream frosting in white or any
color you would like for the background of the painting
• OR a 6 inch round styrofoam dummy cake fully frosted in the color of your choice
• Palate board for mixing buttercream colors or something flat, like a cookie sheet with
parchment paper
• Palate knife(ves) or extra small spatula(s)
• Small soft artist brush
• Couplers
• Piping bags
• Scissors
• Paper towels
• A dinner knife
• Small spoons or frosting spatulas for stirring buttercream
Medium consistency Swiss Meringue Buttercream or American buttercream in individual bowls,
in the following colors:
• Egg Yellow
• Moss Green
• Brown
Optional:
• Soft yellow
• Leaf green
• White
• OR any other colors, if you have a different picture you want to paint in buttercream :)
