Would you like to expand and challenge your skills in developing realistic paintings?  Do you have a good understanding of the four basic washes, glazing, and brush handling?  In so, this class is for you!  Each week we'll focus on a different aspect of making a successful watercolor painting: value, color, and composition. Emphasis will be placed on individual expression, and participants will use their own photographs or sketches for source material. 



Additional Information

Supply List:

  • Set of watercolors in cakes/ or pan, (Canson, Winsor and Newton, or Bienfang are best). 
  • White plastic watercolor palette with wells  
  • Papers: watercolor  paper Canson brand paper (12 x 18) or Bienfang 140 lb.
  • Brushes: #1 or #2 liner, 2 inch wash brush, 1 inch flat brush, #1 mop brush or chip brush, #8 or #10 round brush, #12 round brush Small Sponges (may be a household sponges), Sponges cut into squares, or sea sponge)
  • Roll of paper or Cloth towel
  • Kneaded eraser or white eraser
  • Drawing Pencil: HB Graphite paper 1-5 sheets or 1 roll½ -1 inch Blue painters tape Masking Fluid
