Installations: A Place-Based Documentary Experiment

Description

Durham neighborhoods are rapidly changing, and this course will give students the opportunity to respond to these changes using any combination of media, including moving images, photography, sound, found objects, performance, etc., to create installation pieces. Students will refine their projects through weekly review sessions and critique, and at the end of the course, present their work collectively at a group installation in the Lakewood section of town. (18 hours/All levels)
