Q19. Drawing at the Met Workshop: Inside the Minds and Mark-Making of the Old Masters

This three-day workshop takes place in New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, inside the private Study Room for Drawings and Prints! Students are provided with the rare and exciting opportunity to observe and draw a selection of original old master drawings and prints rarely seen on view, including work by Dürer, Raphael and Rembrandt. Concepts discussed will focus on the logic behind hatching and specific mark-making, composition, and a classical understanding of light and form.

This workshop is for anyone curious or excited about drawing who’s marveled at classical works and wondered how they were conceptualized and constructed. Open to artists of all skill levels and backgrounds.

Admission to Met Museum included.
