Low Light Operations Clinic

Description

During the Low Light Operations Clinic, participants will learn and practice shooting in low light conditions.  The clinic will cover how to react to different types of low light conditions, what mounted or handheld lights and/or lasers can be used for and how to effectively deploy them.  We will also discuss the advantages of Night Sights on your pistol and how to effectively use night sights during low light or no light conditions.  We will cover how to properly identify your target in low light conditions and how to use tools at your disposal to maintain the element of surprise in the dark. There will be a range portion of this event.

Participants will be required to supply their own firearm and ammunition for this clinic. A semiautomatic handgun is recommended however we will allow revolvers as well. Caliber recommended is at least 9mm/.38 special and up.  Participants must bring a minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition.  Participants must have a holster for their firearm for this clinic.  A minimum of 2 magazines or speedloaders is required.  Handheld Flashlights, Mounted Lights, mounted lasers and compatible holsters are strongly encouraged but not required for this clinic.  We recommend at least 4 magazines or speedloaders for this clinic.

Handheld Flashlights, Mounted Lights, Lasers, and firearms with Night Sights will be supplied for a portion of this clinic to demonstrate to students how these can be effectively deployed in low light conditions.  This will allow participants to try different low light accessories during this clinic and determine what works best for their personal needs BEFORE making a purchase.

Mag Pouches are encouraged but not necessary for this clinic. During the clinic, we will discuss how to deploy your firearm in a low light condition effectively.  Mag pouches, mounted and handheld lights will greatly aid in your takeaway from this clinic. Again, these items are NOT NECESSARY for this clinic.

Rental firearms will be available, but selection is extremely limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. To reserve a rental firearm for this clinic, please call 610.258.5500 and dial ext. 120 to speak with Kevin and reserve a rental gun for the course. An hourly rental fee will apply.
