Tai Chi and Applications, Chen Style - Intermediate

This intermediate class is the continuation of the Tai Chi and Qigong, Chen Style – Beginning class and emphasizes application of the Taiji form and push hands technique. Much emphasis in silk-reeling exercises is placed on having ground connections and energy (jin) flow sequentially from the legs up to the dantian (center of body) to achieve integrated body movements. Hun Yuan Qigong exercises will enable students using external movements to guide the internal energy flow through various acupressure points to maximize and strengthen internal energy flow.

Tai Chi and Qigong, Chen Style - Beginning

This beginning class emphasizes the basic principles and body alignment of Tai Chi and Qigong. The traditional Chen Taiji form will help students to develop strength, balance, and coordination. Silk-reeling exercises are a series of spiral movements that promote muscle relaxation and flexibility by reducing physical tension and strain. Wuji Qigong (standing meditation) will help students to cultivate internal energy (qi) that will enhance their immune system and reduce physical and mental stress.
