Ba Duan Jin
Ba Duan Jin, or the Eight Brocades, is an easy form of Qigong to learn. The combination of movement and breath has been practiced for over 2,000 years and is the beginning form taught at the Shaolin Temple in China. Anyone can do this form, even doing it from a chair if needed. Sitting meditation will also be part of the class, as well as a brief set of warm up movements.

This practice consists of 64 movements that flow from one movement into the next. In addition to learning the form, the students will learn a warm up set of exercises to increase flexibility and balance. Students are encouraged to “move at their own pace.” Adaptations can be easily made for people with motor impairments or mobility concerns. Part A includes moves 1-32 of Dayan Qigong, and Part B includes moves 33-64 of Dayan Qigong.
