Learn fun techniques to start filling the pages, including collage, zentangles, artists inks, embossed papers, rubber stamping using your own handmade rubber stamp, and more. Ceramics
 

An introduction to working with clay. Learn hand-building techniques and how to pour, prep, decorate, and glaze a choice of hundreds of ceramic molds. Students will decorate their own designs, then fire them to use as beautiful everyday objects.

Crochet Basics
 

Crochet, the act of pulling of yarn through other loops of yarn, can be used to make articles of clothing, housewares and works of art. Students will learn basic stitches and terminology as well as how to read a crochet pattern. Projects in class will include a basic scarf and making and joining granny squares. Materials for first project are included in the class fee. Students must provide their own yarn after the first project.

Intermediate Sewing Projects
 

This class is meant for students who have completed our Beginning Sewing course and are ready to move forward with their sewing skills. Class will focus on set projects each session. Fall projects will focus on a variety of bags using different materials including: schlep bag with a cork bottom, grab bag, hobo bag, market bag, clear see thru catch all and more.

Suminagashi Marbling
 

Suminagashi or Japanese Water Marbling is a colorful printing technique that makes use of special inks, a tray of water, and paper. Finished products can be used for stationary, book covers, gift wrapping and more. Students will explore different approaches to marbling and
how this technique works on different types of paper and fabrics. This technique is fun, relaxing and meditative. No experience required.
