Woodworking 1: Build A Table - Section A (Daytime)
Develop woodworking skills while building a table from rough wood using power tools.  The class will focus on safety, project planning and understanding the medium of wood.  There will be a $60 materials fee payable to the instructor to cover the cost of wood.  Storage space is available for projects during the quarter.  Eye protection is required and ear (noise) protection is highly recommended.  Textbook:  None - materials will be emailed before the class.

Woodworking 3: Advanced Powertools Techniques
Learn power tool setup and techniques beyond the basics.  This class will include short tutorials as well as open shop time to work on your personal project under supervision.  The class prepares students for Open Shop (Woodworking 4) and become competent and capable of machine setup and operation on your own.  Additionally, this class will cover routine maintenance on most power tools.  Students supply their own materials.  Storage space for projects is available during the quarter.

Woodworking Project: Framed!
Students will hone their existing woodworking skills to build an 11"x14" picture frame.  Students will mill rough stock, shape a profile on the four sides, glue-up the carcass with spine-reinforced mitered corners, finish the wood, cut glass, and assemble it all.  Students will supply their own artwork, roughly 8"x10".  No textbook required.  There is a $50 materials fee payable to the instructor to cover the cost of materials.
