ESL 950EC: English for Child Development

This intermediate course develops oral and written English language skills necessary to communicate about a child’s development. Students practice skills to introduce, objectively describe, and reflect on children, their actions, and their interests.

Pass/No Pass Option.NOTE: Books will be provided.Class Meets 6:20-9:30 on the following dates: 8/22, 8/29, 9/5, 9/6, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/03, 10/10,10/17, 10/24, 10/31, 11/07, 11/14, 11/21, 11/28, 12/5, 12/6, 12/12. Please note that the majority of classes are on Wednesdays, there are a few Thursday night sessions as well.

MA 501 - Introduction to Healthcare Professions

This course exposes students to various aspects of the health care field. Students will explore a variety of health-related disciplines, learn associated entry-level skills, and compare the educational and credentialing requirements, as well as job opportunities of various careers within health care. Professional behavior,effective communication, and time management skills related to health care will also be examined with emphasis on ethics and cultural competence.

NOTE: Books will be provided.MA 501 - Introduction to Healthcare Professions is a non-credit San Jose City College class held at Santa Clara Adult Education.

Students must complete the following two steps in order to register for the course:
