Art Exploration

Art Exploration is an opportunity to learn art techniques and to explore creating a variety of visual arts.  Assignments support expressing both ideas and emotion through art in a safe environment.  The class encourages all students to make use of art for healing communication as well as for aesthetic enjoyment.

Ceramics
Come join an eclectic group of ceramic students, all with varying degrees of sight, while learning the fundamental hand-building techniques of working with clay and exploring your creativity.  All necessary ceramic supplies are provided.  In Partnership with the East Bay Center for the Blind.

Goalball
Goalball is an indoor team sport for people with visual impairments.  The goals of this course are for students to become proficient at Goalball by mastering individual and team techniques and strategies and attaining confident and competent skill through mentored practice.  Many students find that participating in class builds their team skills and confidence in other settings as well.  Offered in partnership with Bay Area Outreach Program.

Movement

Moving Qi introduces students to concepts of traditional Chinese medicine in a very practical way.  It teaches self-care acupressure for health and vitality, seated and standing movements to open the flow of energy in the meridians, and some basic meridian massage techniques with which to work on oneself of a fellow classmate.

Music is a music appreciation class in which students explore a wide variety of classical and contemporary music.  In addition to lectures, recordings, and live performances, students participate in discussions and learn to make their own music through group activities such as singing and other forms of creative expression.  By increasing their skills and knowledge, students can then use music to support their overall well-being and enhance their lives.

Power Soccer

Power soccer is an indoor version of soccer for people who use power wheelchairs.
