Kimberly Blackstock

Kimberly Blackstock has been painting and exhibiting her work since 1995. Her creative background and education lie in Design and Illustration, but after leaving her design career of 18 years she is now painting full time in her Port Moody studio and instructing fine arts in the community. Making a career change was a big step, but once she made the commitment she immediately earned gallery representation at ArtWorks Gallery in Yaletown, and exhibits regularly throughout the year at juried shows, events, exhibitions and various galleries.

Blackstock has been instructing visual arts alongside her own painting career since she left her design job and began instructing children at the Port Moody Arts Centre in the summer 2013. “I feel it is important to be active in my community by sharing knowledge and bringing inspiration to the youth so they can build confidence through self expression and become leaders in expanding and defining the celebration of arts”.
