Tracey Costescu

Tracey Costescu’s love for creating art began as a child and she has been obsessively honing her skills ever since.  As an artist, Tracey feels that art is simply a way of seeing and looking at objects to see their true beauty which she then shares with the viewer through her artwork.  As a teacher, she hopes to provide her students with not just the techniques and skills needed to create their own art, but also the ability to see as an artist who will continue their growth as artists down their own individual path of self-discovery and self-expression.

Tracey is an award winning artist who has exhibited in Canada as an Active Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists as well as internationally with the North West Watercolour Society.  Her commissions and original artwork are held by collectors worldwide and she has illustrated several book covers.

Her teaching career began in 2009 and was a natural progression of sharing her passion with others in a new way.  Over the years Tracey has given art demos and taught adults, children, teachers in SD43 as well as sharing her work at the Port Moody City Council meeting. Tracey loves all mediums and teaches drawing, watercolor, oil and acrylic painting at the Port Moody Art Center.  Her classes are presented in relaxing, fun atmosphere full of demos and one on one support tailored to each student’s needs.
