Best Practices for Administering CASAS

This session will provide support with administering the CASAS assessments including best practices for administering the assessment, identifying which CASAS materials are appropriate for the learners, and using the CASAS to inform instruction. All participants would need to take the CASAS Implementation Basics online training as a prerequisite.

After this training participants will be able to: 

  • Determine the appropriate CASAS assessment for their learners
  • Identify the purpose and general uses for the CASAS Locator and Appraisal
  • Describe test administration Best Practices
  • Interpret CASAS scores
  • Use assessment results to inform instruction
  • Describe the Nation Reporting System’s educational functioning levels as they relate to CASAS

Age Range:  18  -  & UP
