Alexander Technique: Principles for improving posture and relieving pain
Interested in improving your posture, moving with ease and reducing stiffness, pain, and tension? The Alexander Technique teaches how to unlearn common habits of tension that cause poor posture, stress, and neck/back/shoulder pains. For over 100 years, this practical, educational method has been used worldwide by musicians, actors, athletes, and people of all ages to restore good posture, balance and poise, and to experience lasting relief from chronic pain. This class will introduce the technique and how it can be applied to your everyday activities to help you feel, move, and look better. This is one classroom session held at Minuteman. The registration fee includes a private lesson at the instructor's Newton office, which will be scheduled individually with each participant.

Women's Self-Defense & Awareness

This women’s only self-defense class will help to empower you with the skills and knowledge to defend yourself against your surroundings.  You will learn basic self-defense techniques and you will be taught strategies to help you be more alert in your environment. This course is taught by Charles Crayton Jr., who is a chief instructor of combined martial arts inc. Mr. Crayton is a self-defense expert and he is a national certified RAD instructor for men, women, and children. RAD stands for “rape aggression defense”. This 6-week class will help you to stay safe and gain confidence with your individual abilities.
