It's hard to match the appeal of the highly adaptable brush script letter. Friendly and flexible, its conversational tone and versatility makes brush script lettering ideal for a wide range of applications: from editorial layouts to logotype design.

This two-day workshop will provide a basic overview of freehand brush script. Referencing various tools, techniques and models, participants will learn the basics of the style one stroke at a time, before honing their drawing skills as they take a wordmark from concept to completion. Comprehensive slide presentations, demonstrations, skill-building exercises and personal critiques will provide further guidance as students acquire a practical foundation for writing, drawing and implementing brush script lettering in various design contexts.
